Basmati rice is one of the most popular varieties of fragrant rice known for its characteristic nutty-earthy aroma. Note: The fragrant rice is cultivated at the foothills of the Himalayas in the states of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh in India. The true-to-type rice seeds enable the farmers to stay independent and create a solid basis for a good life.

The manufacturer's recommendation for preparation: For 250 g of rice, take three times the amount of water and bring to the boil. Add the rice and simmer for 25 to 30 minutes over low heat with the lid on. Turn off the heat and allow the rice to rest for 5 minutes with the lid closed.
