Description
This delicious tofu is inspired by the flavours of Greece and includes green olives which give it an intense, natural taste. It is further refined with fine aromatic herbs, sea salt and a hint of lemon. Best consumed cold and ideal for quick meals!
Recommendation: This tofu tastes wonderful in Greek salads and other salads, as part of an antipasti platter or simply with bread.
Recipe: Penne with Tofu Olive
Ingredients for two as a main course:
- 200 g Taifun Tofu Olive
- 250 g penne pasta
- 4 to 5 cocktail tomatoes
- 4 to 5 pickled, dried tomatoes (drained)
- 1 chilli or pepperoni (mild or hot, as desired)
- 1 bunch of fresh basil
- 1 to 2 cloves of garlic
- 3 to 4 olives (green or black)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Orange zest to taste
- Salt and pepper to taste

Method:
- Cut the tofu into 2 cm cubes.
- Cook the penne until al dente according to the instructions on the package.
- Meanwhile, halve or quarter the cocktail tomatoes depending on their size, cut the dried tomatoes into fine strips and finely chop the garlic.
- Roughly chop the basil and cut the chillies / peppers into fine rings. Halve the olives and remove seeds if any.
- Heat olive oil in a deep, large pan over medium heat and fry the tofu cubes until crispy.
- Add the cocktail tomatoes, dried tomato strips and garlic and roast briefly.
- Add the basil, chilli rings and olive halves.
- Finally, add the cooked, drained penne to the pan.
- Swirl well and season with salt, pepper and the orange zest.
- Serve with a fresh salad. Enjoy!
