This is the most exciting Roter Veltliner we've ever had the pleasure of drinking!

Birgit Eichinger's "Ried Stangl" Roter Veltliner has been around for a long time. But the Ried Rosengartl Roter Veltliner is new since 2018 and is limited to 700 bottles. What makes it special is the location and the fact that it is aged for 12 months in used barrique barrels and 10 months on the fine lees. And now this varietal enxhibits an even more multi-layered complexity.

This is love at first sip: a basket full of fruit, subtle rose petals, delicate roasted flavours, with acidity and fine fruit. Dark minerality and a juicy finish. Still very young, should be allowed to breathe a little in the glass. You can then look forward to a cinematic experience on the palate.

Can easily mature for 10 years or more. Wine lovers are in for a real treat.
Pairs wonderfully with Asian cuisine or enjoy solo as a meditation wine.
