Günter Triebaumer is known for his vast knowledge of grape varieties. The Carmenere is the result of a trip to South America in 1999. It is a red grape variety that is characterised by its beauty and delicate fruity notes. However, the variety is not authorised as a quality wine the winery chose the creative name "Carmen on Air".

This limited edition, special bottling only came about because one of Günter's fellow vintners also contributed a few hundred kg of grapes for the 2021 vintage. Matured for 7 months in used 300-litre wooden barrels, the variety is now ready to drink.

Purple with violet reflections in the glass. Violets, lilac and cocoa on the nose. Very dry on the palate, but intensely fruity. Mild and yet dense and enormously pleasurable to drink. Differetn from other red wines. Rather fine and delicate, despite 14% alcohol by volume.
